Sessions continue automatically when a claude.ai usage limit resets; off in /config ("Continue automatically at usage limit"). Security: remote file reads, session restore, CLAUDE.md includes, workflow scripts, and uploads reject Windows NT-namespace (\\??\\) paths. Auto mode no longer re-denies sandboxed network after compact in long sessions; session-scoped permission answers stick for background subagents.4
